Who is John Hats?

My name is Giovanni. I am an Italian Ecologist with a Master in Ecosystem Management and a PhD in Aquatic Sciences. I currently work as a Reseach Technician for the Inland Fisheries Ireland in Dublin. I really enjoy my job because it takes me to many new places around the country so I can often be outdoor and close to freshwater, which I love.

I've always had a passion for nature and as soon as I was able to buy a camera I started taking the wildlife around me. I became a passionate wildlife photographer and spent many hours outdoor with friends looking for fauna to photograph. I'm particularly interested in macro photography, due to my preference for the smaller creatures and the hidden world all around us.

In the future I would like explore other types of photography, possibly underwater macros and some travel/street photography.

I like nature obviously, hiking, yoga, reading, learning new things, coffee and vietnamese pho.
